Eagle-eyed fans of The Block have noticed a 'ridiculous' detail in a new trailer for the show's 20th anniversary series.

A new trailer has been released promoting the reality show's Bathroom Week renovations in another huge challenge for the teams.

The trailer kicks off with series co-host Scott Cam,61,cluing in the contestants in on the grueling bathroom renovation challenge in store for them.

The clip then cuts to the Blockheads working hard on their renovations, with shots flashing up of one bizarre looking bathroom featuring two side by side bathtubs.

However, shocked fans were quick to take to social media to criticise the 'ridiculous' bathroom design, slamming it as 'criminal' as they made their thoughts very clear.

'So two shower heads are not enough? This is so criminal,' one viewer sniped.

'It looks like a luxury torture chamber,' a second person added and a third chimed in: 'Can’t remember last time I had a bath... I could wash two dogs at once.'

While somewhat unconventional in its design,a bathroom with two side by side tubs can also cater to luxury buyers and holds some very unique aesthetics.

It comes after The Block fans called out hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft after the pair failed to follow a basic safety precaution on site as they didn't wear hard hats during filming

The Block insider reveals contestants from earlier seasons refused to return for an All-Star season

Every season Blockheads get lectured over best practices while on a construction site, which include wearing a hard hat and hi-vis vest at all times.

However, the series' 'hypocritical' hosts were spotted not wearing any protection gear as they inspected each contestants' house.

The teams had just been lectured by Safety Officer Deano during the early hours of the morning before the mishap.

'Let's all maintain hi-vis. You're on the site, you need to have your hi-vis on,' he told the cast and crew as they gathered around.

But moments later, fans were thrown into fury when hosts Scott and Shelley began inspecting the construction site without wearing hi-vis or hard hats - and viewers flocked to social media to slam the stars over the 'reckless' and 'hypocritical' act.

The current series of The Block was filmed earlier this year in the popular Victorian tourism hotspot Phillip Island.

Daily Mail Australia revealed a Channel Nine-owned company purchased Island Cove Villas on the Victorian Island for a whopping $9.5million.
